The Studio

Design that begins with how you live

Who we are

A warm-editorial approach to interiors

Atelier Mu-on was founded on a simple belief: a room should feel calm and cared-for before it tries to impress anyone.

We design interiors that are warm, quiet and built to be lived in. Our name, Mu-on, speaks to the stillness we want a good room to have — the sense that everything is already in its right place. We work closely with each client from the first mood board to the final styling day, and we keep the team small so that attention never gets diluted.

Our work spans homes, cafés, boutiques and small workplaces, but the method stays the same: understand how the space will really be used, choose a warm and honest palette, and let the design follow quietly from there. We are drawn to taupe, cream and muted sage, to plaster and oiled oak and aged brass — materials that feel good to touch and only improve with time. Nothing in our interiors is there to shout; every element earns its place.

Our values

What guides the work

Four values that shape every interior we design, from a single kitchen to a whole home.

Warm & restrained

A calm palette of taupe, cream and sage that feels timeless rather than tied to a passing trend.

Collaborative

We work as partners with clients, makers and trades from the first sketch to the final styling.

Lived-in first

Every layout answers to how you actually cook, gather and rest, not to a photograph.

Craft-minded

We care about the details you touch every day — the handle, the reveal, the edge of the counter.

The team

People behind the work

A small team of interior designers who see each project through from mood board to move-in day.
